Scholarship Description
Established as a small community college in 1967, Conestoga has evolved to become one of Canada’s leading polytechnic institutes, providing a full range of education and training programs, from short courses through four-year degrees, as well as research.
Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning values the contribution of international students to the College community. The International Student Entrance Scholarships are designed for international students applying to a fulltime diploma or degree program and meeting the academic requirements for the program of study.

Eligibility
To be eligible international applicants must:

  • have acceptance into a full-time diploma or degree program at Conestoga College
  • be a citizen of a country other than Canada and hold a valid study permit for the period of study
Selection criteria:
  • Essays will be assessed based on content and proper use of English (including grammar)
  • Final award recipients will be selected based on a combination of the written essay submission and academic grades
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered
  • Only successful candidates will be notified of results

Scholarship is open to students who will begin their studies in a post-secondary program in September 2012 (each year).

Scholarship benefitsA total of three scholarships will be awarded over two consecutive semesters and the value of each scholarship is $3,000 cdn. The scholarship has no cash value and will be used toward payment of the winning candidates’ outstanding tuition.

Method of Application
To apply:
  • complete the application form found on the reverse
  • provide a one page, single-spaced essay outlining your goals, ambitions and reasons for applying to post-secondary studies at Conestoga College
